U. S. Shell has evolved from a small company first established in 1950 by Captain Bud Harris. The company has been selling handmade beach combing souvenirs since its start in Port Isabel, Texas. This helped U. S. Shell become one of the largest wholesale distributors and importer/exporters of seashells and nautical accessories in the world. It also operates a retail store in Los Fresnos, Texas. Featuring giant five story seashells flanking the entrances, a man-made ocean reef, and interiors with an amazing display of pirates, sea galleon, and tropical gifts, Seven Seas offers a huge array of unique merchandise!

U.S. Shell has been operated by four generations of the Harris family. Robert Harris, his wife Liz, and their two children along with Mille Harris and five grandchildren actively take part in the business. They are supported by a staff of long-time, energetic, and faithful employees.
